Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!

You shall love the LORD your Godwith all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.

You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals o your forehead.

You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

The blessings of boys

Hear are some pics of my boys being boys...

Aaron was riding his bike. Logan decided he wanted to ride a bike so he went and got Aaron's old helmet and climbed on Aaron's old bike like he was riding it. He could not reach the peddles but he may the noises like he was riding.. So in his mind.. He was..

Today I was thinking about the fact that I have two boys. I never saw myself as a boy mom. Now that I see my friends with girls, I wonder how they live without Prozac! (LOL)

My house is loud and that is one of my favorite things about it. There are constantly light saber noises and gas sounds. When I close my eyes at night I can still hear the car sounds and the echoing of horseplay on the floor. Every boo-boo seems only inches away from an emergency room visit. They are daring. They are risky. They are impulsive. They jump off of anything more than 2 inches from the ground. And ANYTHING can be turned into a tent or a Star Wars spaceship. Speaking of which, I know about Star Wars than any woman ever should...LOL. They throw balls, they throw teddy bears and they throw one another. They seem to have some silent secret "boy" code that only they and daddy understand. They talk to one another in noises and grunts and it is comprehendable by other males around them.

To some all of this may sound out of control and annoying but not to me. I love it all. I love all the giggles and all the belly laughs. I love the look in their eyes before they dare to do something. I love seeing them so happy. But most of all I love that at the end of the day, they all love me. I am the only girl. I am their princess (they tell me ). At the end of the night they want me to give kisses and hugs. They want me to give a gentle woman's touch to heal a boo-boo. They want me to read books curled up under a blanket. I would take years of all the noise and chaos for only a few minutes each day of the bonding and love we have in those quiet moments together.

And at the end of the night, when each door is closed and they yell to each other.. Good night brother, I love you.. I know that all is well with the world and that no girl could ever crush my heart with overwhelming joy like they do.
